Dental Veneers/Porcelain Veneers

Dental veneers, also called porcelain veneers or dental porcelain laminates, are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials placed over the front surface of teeth to improve tooth appearance.

It is very common for people to have imperfect teeth, either oddly shaped teeth, chipped teeth, crooked teeth, teeth with small holes in them, or an inappropriate sized tooth or teeth that have an odd appearance. Veneers solve such irregularities and create a durable and pleasing smile.

  • Composite Veneers cost about THB5,000 to THB6,000 per tooth.

  • How Long Does It Take?

Full Mouth Porcelain Veneers takes up to 2 weeks to complete in cases with good healthy teeth.
For 4-8 porcelain Veneers, it takes only about 7 business days (exclude Saturday and Sunday).
Composite Veneers takes only 1-2 visits to complete, about 2-3 days in Bangkok.

    1. Porcelain Veneers

The length of time taken to do porcelain veneers (about 3-6 veneers) is about 7 days requiring about 2 to 3 visits, each visit being 2 to 3 days apart. If more than 6 veneers or full mouth veneers are opted, the recommended time frame of stay is at least 10-14 days.

The process for doing veneers is as follows:

  • Additional visit (optional): veneers diagnosis and wax up
  • First visit (about 2 working days from wax up): veneers tooth preparation
  • Second visit (about 5 to 7 working days from tooth preparation) : fitting of veneers
  • Third visit (about 1 to 2 working days from veneer fitting) : re-check and re-adjustments

  • 2. Composite Veneers

For resin veneer/composite veneer or dental bonding, this type of treatment can be done in one day.
However, to have it redone, the dentist will first evaluate tooth condition to determine whether veneers is suitable for an individual.

If composite veneer is opted for 1 or 2 teeth, that may be completed in one visit.

In certain cases, a wax up on the expected results prior to start the treatment may be recommended. If so, additional timings of about 2 days would be required.
